Weekly Recap
OutreachPros Newsletter
When I stepped out onto 7th and Pike from our event at the Cheesecake Factory, I had only two things on my mind: the OutreachPros community and a ride home.
Special thanks to the community of Outreach users and experts who made it out to the IRL 2023 event at Unleash this year. This was our first community event and we held it at The Cheesecake Factory (aka TCF), which we thought was across the street from the community event doors.
Unfortunately, the actual entrance to Unleash was 3 blocks away on 9th and Pine. š¤¦āāļø
Turns out there are multiple entrances and Unleash was in the new building (and I donāt blame them because itās a pretty awesome building).
But this was important because the QR code cards we printed up and handed out at Unleash marketing the event showed one of those maps with a star that says āYOU ARE HEREā and a dotted line pointing across the street to TCF.
I even took a picture of the crosswalk a week or two before illustrating how short the distance between the two doors was. And then posted it on LinkedIn, promoting the event. š
Crucial lesson in last-minute event planning: Confirm your locations.
Luckily, it turned out okay and we still had folks come by to support. I went around trying to recreate ābootā with our videographer ā this was a thing we used to do each Friday at the end of work in the early days of Outreach.
Weād hold boot-shaped shot glasses with our drink of choice (water counts!) and share:
One thing we learned or were proud of
AND
One thing we want to do better
The footage turned out great, so weāll post some clips soon.
Any who, hereās some killer content. First up, a quick post about the event + community weāre building. Then, weāve got more from āTalking with Strangersā, our man Dave Breshearsā upcoming book. Future TWS posts will be limited to subscribers, so as they say, smash that subscribe button.
After that, a super insightful post about Sequence States from Amanda Woodring ā one of our friends at Greaser Consulting. Sequence States is a little-used but highly valuable page in Outreach that helps you see prospects across all your sequences at once. Be sure to check that out.
And taking us home is none other than Jacob Turner with his quick win of the week. You canāt miss this, hugely valuable and dead simple.
Thatās it, folks. Take care this week, and donāt forget to eat your vegetables. š„¦
